On Monday, December 26, 2022, Ski Sundown will open for the 2022-2023 season, with ten out of sixteen trails. Lifts will be running on their holiday
operating schedule from 8:00AM– 10:00PM December 26 - January 2.
Ski Sundown recommends that lift ticket, lesson, rental, and program purchases be made in advance online at skisundown.com. Ticket windows will also be open to customers beginning at 7:30AM on Monday morning. Ski School, Welcome Center, Rentals, Tuning & Repair Shop, Ski Shop, Food Courts, and the Last Chair Bar will be fully operational.
Ski Sundown’s snowmaking team plans to maximize some excellent cold temperatures this upcoming weekend. They have been making snow diligently at every opportunity when the temperatures have allowed, even in spite of several heavy periods of rain. Snowmakers are confident that they will be able to deliver the kind of product that Ski Sundown customers are accustomed to.
As far as what to expect on opening day, the mountain will open with ten trails and more will be added in the very near future. The current open trails include 4 beginner/novice, 4 intermediate, and 2 advanced trails. Ski Sundown will continue to make snow when there are windows of cold weather temperatures, with the goal of getting 100% coverage on all of the trails as soon as possible. Conditions will be machine groomed, and ideal for skiers and riders of all ability levels.
