The Side Cars Band “A Tribute to The Cars” emulates the look, style, and sound that led The Cars to the the top of the billboard charts, selling millions of records throughout the band's career, and pioneering new wave and power pop, and music videos during the early years of MTV. The Cars were inducted into the Rock-N-Roll Hall of fame in 2018. The Cars, with its unique style and sound, and refreshingly innovative musical creativity, blends classic rock and roll vibes, rockabilly, and guitar rock layered with the evolving synthesizer pop and power pop music of the late 70’s and early 80’s. The band made its mark in the history of contemporary American popular music and pop culture. Since the band's inception in Boston, dating back to 1976, and the release of their self titled debut Album in 1978, its music has proven to be timeless and influential to listeners and musicians to this very day.
The Side Cars Band “A Tribute to The Cars” is led by Joe Leo on Rhythm Guitar & Lead Vox. He mirrors the style and sound of the late great Ric Ocasek, on both vocals and guitar, and the lead vocals of Benjamin Orr. Other members of the band are: Larry Forrest and Lino Sciarretta on Bass Guitar & Vox, Mike Miranda and Rick Agosta on Lead Guitar & Vox, JJ Drums and Charlie Spataro on Drums/Vox, and Mark Austin and Mike Rosenman on Keyboards/Synth.
