“Terror At Quassy” returns to Quassy Amusement Park

‘Terror At Quassy’  Returns Starting Oct. 7 


Twelve nights of frights return to Quassy Amusement Park here as the lakeside facility presents its second annual Halloween haunt event. “Terror at Quassy” will take place weekends starting Friday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 30. Event hours are 7 to 11 p.m. for the Friday-Sunday haunt with tickets available at www.quassy.com


Admission is $29.99 per person, and parking at Quassy is $10. Groups of 30 or more will receive a discount through the park office, which may be reached at 203-758-2913. Quassy season pass holders may purchase discount pre-sale tickets online. 


The event will feature even more haunted attractions than last year, as the amusement ride area of the park will be transformed into a variety of frightening lures including a zombie hospital, dungeons, and misty walkway. The large athletic field in the park will play host to haunted catacombs and a haunted cemetery. New attractions will include an infinity hall and clown house. 


In addition, live themed performances will take place nightly at the Carousel Theatre stage. 


A number of the park’s major rides, included in the admission price, will also operate during “Terror at Quassy” nights. The park’s restaurant, arcade and gift shop will be open. 


Quassy is located at 2132 Middlebury Road, Route 64, in Middlebury, CT, on the shores of Lake Quassapaug.

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is excited to announce the return of Zoo Patrol, an immersive and educational summer program for kids. Designed for young animal lovers and future conservationists, Zoo Patrol offers seven weeklong sessions filled with adventure, discovery, and behind-the-scenes experiences. Each day children will explore a different area of the zoo with a custom guided experience. Children spend much of the week outdoors, learning about animals at the Zoo, their enrichment, and veterinary care through staff presentations designed to engage young audiences. There is also an emphasis on learning through play with Zoo-themed games and art-making activities. This year’s sessions run from June 30th through August 15th, with opportunities for children ages 7-11 and 11-13 to explore our environment and the fascinating world of wildlife. This year's event promises to be better than ever before, featuring three professional U.S. Military Veteran comedians who will perform to benefit Veterans experiencing homelessness in Connecticut.
