Springsteen Rocks the House at the Garden!

New Jersey isn't the only home to Bruce Springsteen fans. Fairfield County was plenty represented at The Boss' April 1 show at Madison Square Garden in New York City! Some folks in the crowd even came from Australia just to see the show!
Playing for 3 solid hours to a sold out show, Springsteen wowed the crowd with his tireless, ageless energy, and passion and raw talent. Bruce and his E-Street Band were, as always, flawless and magical. The set list was perfection, hitting on fan favorites and highlights of an incredible career.
The night began with a rousing rendition of No Surrender. The crowd was on its feet roaring with delight, and quite possibly never sat down again for the rest of the show. The set list included highlights from the entire 40 plus year career of Bruce and the band:
- No Surrender
- Ghosts
- Prove it all Night
- Letter to You
- The Promised Land
- Out in the Street
- Candy's Room
- Kitty's Back
- Nightshift (Commodores Cover)
- Trapped (Jimmy Cliff Cover)
- The E Street Shuffle
- Johnny 99
- Last Man Standing
- Backstreets
- Because the Night (Patti Smith Group Cover)
- She's the One
- Wrecking Ball
- The Rising
- Badlands
The encore was perhaps even more spectacular, with the tour debut of Jungleland. Jake Clemons' rousing and emotional solo sax performance played homage to his uncle, the late Clarence Clemons, Bruce's long time saxophonist who passed away in 2011. The encore set was:
- Jungleland
- Thunder Road
- Born to Run
- Rosalita (Come out Tonight)
- Glory Days
- Dancing in the Dark
- Tenth Avenue Freeze Out
- I'll See You in My Dreams
A beautiful photo tribute was paid to Clarence Clemons and the late Danny Federici, the E-Street organist who passed away in 2008, during Tenth Avenue Freeze Out. Springsteen is a class act, and the consummate performer.
