Glow Wild Lantern Festival - Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo

Journey through a wonderland of illuminated larger-than-life lanterns inspired by our wild world.

This amazing festival will culminate a year of festivities celebrating the Zoo’s 100th birthday and will be held every Thursday - Sunday from September 15- November 27. The festival will showcase more than 35 large-scale illuminated displays, featuring hundreds of beautiful individual and interactive lanterns.

Spanning the width and breadth of Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo’s 30 acres, guests are invited to walk through glowing corridors. Displays of flora and fauna will light up the night sky, dazzling guests of all ages! The Glow Wild Lantern Festival is designed for everyone to enjoy –whether a family outing, romantic date, or coworker get-together. The festival will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Timed tickets should be purchased online in advance, and offered in half-hour increments. A small number of tickets may be available at the door, depending upon Zoo capacity.

Adult tickets (ages 12 +) are $22, and Children (11 and under) are $20. Children under three and adults over 75 are free. Wheelchairs and strollers will be available to rent. Food will not be available for purchase.

Apple Festival - Olde Mistick Village

Check out the first Apple Festival at Olde Mistick Village in Mystic Saturday and Sunday Octiver 22 and 23!

You will be treated to live music and lots of family fun- including face and pumpkin painting, a balloon artist and a jack-o-lantern contest. There will also be an array of food vendors to make everyone happy- choose between farm stands, bakers, crafters, artisans, apples, syrups, pies and pumpkins.

The musicians are all talented local favorites. They perform a wide variety of music, including their own originals.

Oktoberfest - Rowayton Community Center

RCA Oktoberfest is Saturday, October 22, 5:00pm

IT’S BACK! The 9th annual Oktoberfest Fundraiser will be at the Rowayton Community Center on Saturday, October 22nd, from 5:00-11:00 pm.

Grab your lederhosen and dirndls and come join us for German food, German bier, and an evening filled with singing and dancing. A guaranteed evening of fun!

Tickets are $150.00 per person, and proceeds go to support the Rowayton Civic Association.

There will be no parking at the event, please arrange a ride share or a designated driver to drop off & pick up from the event.
