Debbi O'Keefe is a force to be reckoned with.
Several years ago, O'Keefe founded ConnectFairfield. According to its
website,
ConnectFairfield plans major events which coordinate
"with communities, businesses, social organizations, entertainment venues and educational institutions." She previously worked in various positions in Community Development and Event planning, and has "built a solid hyper-local, engaged following through Instagram, Facebook & ENews subscribers. I receive a lot of requests to help promote so I’ve decided to only include events that I’m either hosting or participating for ConnectFairfield. I believe strongly in keeping my newsletter authentic and do not accept paid advertising." To sign up for her newsletter, click

Always community oriented, for every event hosted by ConnectFairfield that charges admission, a percentage is donated to a local non profit. ConnectFairfield has donated or promoted events for the following charity and community partners: Bridge House, The Barnum Festival, Center for Family & Justice, CJD Foundation, Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, Fairfield Economic Development, Fairfield Parks & Recreation, Inspire Inc., Mercy Leaning Center, Norma Pfriem Breast Cancer, Operation Hope, Park City Presents, Sandy Hook Promise, St. Baldrick's Foundation, Sticks for Soldiers,Trinity Spiritual Center, Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, Women in Need and WPKN Radio.
O'Keefe describes herself as "very focused on my original mission of hosting curated events to connect and support our community. I have a robust schedule of events planned throughout 2023." And indeed she does. In just March alone, ConnectFairfield is hosting Spectrum of Rock and 85/95 Dance Party FunRaiser.
Taking place on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Park City Music Hall (2926 Fairfield Ave. in Bridgeport), Spectrum of Rock is an "evening of amazing Rock & Roll music that spans the decades and rock genres. Enjoy heavy metal, classic rock and alternative favs performed live - featuring Joe Bouchard, Co-Founder of the iconic 1970s Blue Öyster Cult Band - along with a host of other tunes that move the body and soul."
Proceeds from this event will support The Kennedy Collective (formerly The Kennedy Center) Autism Project which provides opportunities for children, teens, and young adults to engage in social and recreational activities while learning skill-building strategies. A variety of engaging and immersive programs are offered throughout the year, providing opportunities for individuals and families to feel supported, connected, and empowered. Tickets to this event may be purchased here.
‘85 -'95 Dance Party FUNRaiser to support Wakeman Boys & Girls Club will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, from 7:00 PM to11:00 PM at Park City Music Hall. Put on your dancing shoes and flash back to the 80s/90s. DJ Laki @gablaki will be spinning tunes from our two favorite dancing decades! From timeless classics to hip hop with some new wave sprinkled in, she’ll be pumpin up the jams (and some surprise vocals) all night long! Proceeds will support Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. O'Keefe has a special connection to Wakeman, as her now grown children "grew up going through their programs. Such a variety of activities, leadership program, sports teams at the Southport Clubhouse. My kids are 23 & 25 and back then there weren’t as many classes and activities for kids. It was a great great place. It’s exciting now that they have a clubhouse in Black rock and building one of the north end of Bridgeport to give kids opportunity that might not have otherwise." Tickets to this event may be purchased here.
ConnectFairfield has a calendar of fun community events. Be sure to check out what O'Keefe has planned
