Brews on Bedford, presented by Stamford Downtown, returns on Saturday, May 18 from 2-5pm in Latham Park on Bedford Street featuring beer from 20+ breweries. Tickets on sale now through Afton.

 

Guests can fill a sampling glass with beer from a variety of breweries from across the region, while enjoying live music with Ali and Nate, lawn games and food vendors including Avellino Family BBQ, Blind Rhino and Prospector Popcorn. Participating breweries include: Berlinetta Brewing, Best Friends Lunch, Brewery Collective, Captain Zig, Charter Oak Brewing Company, Counter Weight Brewing, Delta Seltzers, Devil’s Purse Brewing Company, Downeast Cider House, Elicit Brewing Company, Fishers Island Lemonade, Half Full Brewery, Nod Hill Brewery, Owl’s Brew, Quirk Works Brewing, Spacecat Brewery, Uncle Don’s Light, Whalers, White Lion Brewing, Wynk THC Seltzer and more. Vendors including Boozy Candles, Fiorela Gonzales, House of Humbled, Keepsakes by Nic Rose and Woof n Whisk Treats.

 

General Admission Tickets for Brews on Bedford are $40 if purchased by May 17 and $45 day of event (if tickets are still available). A limited amount of VIP tickets are available that allow entry an hour prior to general admission (1-5pm) for an additional $16 per ticket. Entry fee includes a tasting glass, unlimited samples (while supplies last), entertainment and more!

 

Guests must be 21 and over. Proper ID will be required for admission (Valid and current motor vehicle operator’s license, identity card issued by the State Department of Transportation or a valid and current Passport or Global ID along with another form of photo ID. Digital IDs not accepted). We encourage you to drink responsibly and know your limits. No pets or kids under 21 please.

Summer Adventures Await as Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo Announces Registration Open for Zoo Patrol

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is excited to announce the return of Zoo Patrol, an immersive and educational summer program for kids. Designed for young animal lovers and future conservationists, Zoo Patrol offers seven weeklong sessions filled with adventure, discovery, and behind-the-scenes experiences. Each day children will explore a different area of the zoo with a custom guided experience. Children spend much of the week outdoors, learning about animals at the Zoo, their enrichment, and veterinary care through staff presentations designed to engage young audiences. There is also an emphasis on learning through play with Zoo-themed games and art-making activities. This year’s sessions run from June 30th through August 15th, with opportunities for children ages 7-11 and 11-13 to explore our environment and the fascinating world of wildlife. This year's event promises to be better than ever before, featuring three professional U.S. Military Veteran comedians who will perform to benefit Veterans experiencing homelessness in Connecticut. The event will take place on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Vazzano's Four Seasons in Stratford, CT. Guests will be treated to a delicious dinner, cocktails, exciting door prizes, and a 50/50 raffle starting at 6:00 pm, followed by an unforgettable comedy show at 8:00 pm. This event is being produced by Brad Axelrod, current owner of Connecticut Comedy for Cash and former owner/operator of Treehouse Comedy.
