Black Rock PorchFest 2024: A Melodic Block Party Returns to Bridgeport!
Get ready to groove! The Black Rock PorchFest is back on Saturday, August 24, starting at 11am, bringing the community together for a day-long, free music extravaganza in the vibrant Black Rock neighborhood of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Founded in 2016 by Nicole Cassidy, this was Connecticut’s first-ever PorchFest, setting the stage for an annual tradition that’s all about good vibes, great music, and a strong sense of community. From porches to driveways, local musicians will perform in a variety of genres, including country, pop, classical, reggae, blues, rock, jazz, Latino, R&B, and folk. It’s a celebration of local talent, with performances happening throughout the day in unexpected venues across the neighborhood.
The festival is a labor of love, powered by dedicated volunteers who coordinate with homeowners and town officials to keep things running smoothly. Signs with artist names and performance times will be posted in front of porches and online, so you won’t miss a beat!
This year’s festival, organized by Park City Presents—spearheaded by Park City Music Hall’s general manager John Torres—promises to be bigger and better than ever. And the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down! After-parties will continue the festivities at local hotspots like Park City Music Hall, Tautog Tavern, B.R.Y.A.C., and RoadRunner Kitchen + Bar.
Mark your calendars and get ready to enjoy a full day of live music, community spirit, and unforgettable moments at Black Rock PorchFest 2024! πΈβ¨
Don’t miss out on this unique celebration of community, music, and summer vibes!
See you on the porches!
